What we do

Ensure Lasting Change

Our primary goal with interventions is to eradicate poverty and promote socio-economic empowerment.

By making every beneficiary a benefactor in their own communities, we can bring about sustainable change to those vulnerable to poverty, hunger, violence, and social inequality.

NCT focuses on the poor and marginalized in Andhra Pradesh, identifying with those in the lowest social and economic standing: women, young girls, and youth in general

Where we work

We are located in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
Our primary target areas are Andhra Pradesh and Telangana – the two Telugu speaking Southern states in India. We network with 11 NGOs from different parts of South India.

Child Education

Education is the only way for children to break the cycle of poverty. NewBeginnings firmly believes in the impact of education in the lives of the poor. Education provides a foundation to eradicate poverty and build sustainable economic development. It is on education that a right-based society is built and an empowered community especially women and girls find themselves better equipped and capacitated.

Poverty has a direct impact on a child’s education as well as education directly impacts poverty. Those living below the poverty line, like our target groups, are more likely to send their children to any means of labour to earn, even if it means something meagre. This keeps the children in poverty as they grow up and thus cyclic poverty is built in the family for generations.

Education is the way forward to building a better and informed society. It is a proven way to eradicate poverty in the next generation.

Equal access to education equips young girls with the tools needed to thrive, ensuring economic opportunity and social progress through increased independence. To bring about qualitative sustainable developmental changes in the lives of children, our education programs concentrate on early childhood education at the primary level.

By nurturing a child from a young age, their growth over time can reflect productivity and creativity in their own families, communities, and society at large. Educating young girls also have the benefit of preventing early marriage, human trafficking, child labour, and submissiveness in relationships.

While NCT gives equal importance to the education of both boys and girls, we emphasize the education of girl children much stronger. Because

Educate her – so she knows how to fight for her rights.

Educate her – so she knows what’s good for her life.

Educate her – so she knows what’s best for her children.

Educate her – so she knows how to build a healthy family and community.
